Wendy Wood
Certified Mediator
Wendy is a certified mediator having received her training through The Center for Dispute Resolution in Santa Monica, California and the University of California, Berkeley. She is a founding member of Mediators Beyond Borders, a colleague with the Master Mediator Institute, and a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution.
Educated at the University of California, Davis and the University of San Francisco, Wendy is
currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Saybrook Graduate School in San Franciso. She has over 25 years of experience in executive and business management, organizational development, strategic design, conflict management, mediation, and as a social advocate. She is an alumna of Dr. Bruce Perry’s 2005 Train the Trainers for the California State Attorney General’s Safe from the Start Initiative, providing presentations and trainings regarding the effects of trauma, neglect and abuse on the developing brain to communities and interested parties including: mediators, family/juvenile law attorneys, and family/juvenile court judges and commissioners.
As Executive Director of Family Connections, she continues to work in designing and implementing services for children and their families in high conflict divorce and parenting situations. Her holistic, mindful, and experiential philosophy is integrated into her work nationally and internationally, assisting traumatized and high conflict communities to resolve their conflicts, improve systems collaboration, and build conflict resolution capacity

Susanna James
Certified Mediator
Susanna is a certified mediator having received her training through The Center for Dispute Resolution in Santa Monica, California. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, obtained her graduate teaching credentials from Chapman University.
Susanna brings over thirty years of experience as a business owner, educator, consultant, and social advocate to her mediation practice. After decades of working with private business, organizations, groups, volunteers and implementing social programs, she has applied her experience and ability to forging sustainable family solutions for older adults and their families.
For the past ten years, she's lived in El Dorado County, California and has worked with community and faith-based organizations and currently serves as a Board of Supervisors appointed member of the Child Abuse Prevention Council. Her passions are innovative collaboration between diverse cultural groups, developing mentoring programs and implementing programs to bridge private sector and organizations for social change.
